Baby Chicks

I really liked this little guy looking at me - looking at him!! 

They are cute but very scared and skittish... As soon as Brad lifted up their housing they all ran to one side. 

We picked up our baby chicks at the post office yesterday morning.  It's funny to hear the chicks "peeping" in the background when Cindy, the Postmaster, calls!! After calling us several times a year for 10 years to tell us we have baby chicks, she actually looks forward to us getting chicks as much as we do!! 

They are so tiny and fluffy!!  Brad keeps them under lights in a brooder house for a couple weeks until normal night time temps are a bit warmer, or until the chicks have full feathering across their backs before he puts them out on pasture in the "chicken tractors".
