Common Garter Snake

You'd think I'd cringe or scream at the thought of my 10 year old daughter bringing a snake into the house. Actually, I'm pretty used to it.  Whenever a child, or Brad, finds a snake they love to bring it in the house and show mom!  Brad has always had an appreciation for snakes and over the years has taught all three of our children to respect them and at the same time to enjoy them.  They all know which snakes are poisonous and which ones are harmless. 

After Lois came to show me her great find - she returned the baby snake to where she found it.
